Casino Rueda: Sankofa Day w/Emily

A deep dive into history, dance, & culture, of Casino Rueda, a lively group dance from Cuba using the Ghanian principle of Sankofa, "taking from the past what is good & bringing it into the future." This class will be taught by Latin Dance Boone. 20 max attendees.

Out of Towners: Hotels are located right off the I-95 exit 160 or I-20 at exit 141. There is a mall, Target, Barnes and Nobles, and restaurants. This area is 10-15 minutes from the venue. There are many hotels in the area.

Emily Daughtridge, Professor of Dance Studies at Appalachian State University, is a choreographer, performer and founder/director of the community project, Latin Dance Boone.
