A deep dive into Bachata's history, dance, & culture, this workshop will conclude with a short performance by attendees. You will learn fundamental body movement, partner work & cultural roots using the Ghanian principle of Sankofa, "taking from the past what is good & bringing it into the future."

About The Event

You will learn fundamental body movement, weight shifts, & partner work using the Ghanian principle of Sankofa, "taking from the past what is good & bringing it into the future." The day will close with a performance by attendees at our Afro Roots Party.
